RSC - Courses for non-specialist Chemistry teachers
RSC runs Chemistry for Non-Specialist courses at SLCSE (Science Learning Centre South East).  These are high quality, high profile courses designed to help those non-specialists teaching chemistry at KS3 and 4.  The courses will be run at Science Learning Centres around the country and are highly subsidised by GlaxoSmithKline, so cost only £120 for four days.  RSC organise the courses, providing high quality trainers who have attended the RSC train-the-trainer courses.

There are two courses at Southampton (6th March 2007, 31st May 2007). The SLCSE are looking to set up further RSC Chemistry for Non-Specialist courses around the region.  If you know of a suitable venue within Kent (high quality laboratories with access to fume cupboards, accommodation nearby for a one-night residential), and you think there is a demand for such a course, please do let me (Keith Milchem) know and I'll see what can be organised.

Please find flier for one of the dates attached to this post. Contact me for the other.
